Dr. Catherine Lustgarten received her veterinary degree in 1972 from Purdue University.  After 2 years in a small animal practice and 3 years at a radiation research laboratory, she completed a 3-year residency in radiology at the Ohio State University, where she simultaneously earned a master's degree in veterinary clinical science. 

Dr. Lustgarten was examined and certified by the American College of Veterinary Radiology.  She continued at Ohio State University as an associate professor for 6 months, then established the Animal Radiology Clinic in Dallas in 1980. 

She is a founding member of the Veterinary Referral Center of North Texas. 

Activity in many professional organizations, Dr. Lustgarten has served as president and board member of the American College of Veterinary Radiology and of the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Lustgarten's long experience in veterinary radiology and radiation therapy and her service to the public and the profession are unparalleled in the southwestern United States.
